Chief Executive Officer + Founding Partner  | Joy Alise Davis, MA

Hailing from Cincinnati, Joy Alise Davis  (she/her) graduated from Miami University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, and from Parsons School of Design with a Master of Arts in Theories of Urban Practice.

She has held support and leadership roles at various social justice organizations for over ten years. Joy Alise has consulted on urban planning, urban design, and racial equity projects with government bureaus in the State of Oregon for over seven years.

She is the founder of the award-winning firm, Design + Culture Lab, and is an Assistant Professor at Pacific Northwest College of Art (PNCA) teaching within the MFA in Collaborative Design and MA in Design Systems graduate program. Currently, Joy Alise serves as the Executive Director of Imagine Black where she works to help our Black community imagine the alternatives they deserve and build political participation to achieve those alternatives.
